The Lindenwood women's tennis team went 1-1 on a road trip this weekend. The Lady Lions beat Washburn 7-2 on Friday and felt to Emporia State by the same score on Saturday. Lindenwood is now 3-5 on the season.
Alexandra Medvedeva and
Sarah Sharpe both had successful days on Friday against Washburn as they teamed up to win the number three doubles match 8-2. Medvedeva would go on to win her singles match 6-4 and 6-1. Sharpe added another singles victory by a score of 6-2 and 7-5 in two sets.
Mariona Pinol and
Gloria Marras each won their respective singles matches to round out the wins for the Lions.
Lindenwood would only be able to earn two wins on Saturday against Emporia. Both wins came in singles play.
The Lady Lions will be back in action on Tuesday in Kirksville, Mo. when they take on Truman State.
