The Lindenwood women's hockey team could not earn a sweep over No. 9 Bemidji State on Saturday, falling by a 6-0 score at the Lindenwood Ice Arena in Wentzville.
The Beavers scored two quick goals midway through the first period to take control of the contest. The first came at the 10:20 mark, while the second was just 35 seconds later. Bemidji State would add two more goals in the second period and two in the third.
Bemidji State had a 41-30 advantage in shots. The Beavers also scored on both of their power-play chances, while Lindenwood could not convert on four power-play opportunities.
Lindenwood begins a three-game series with Minnesota State on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Lindenwood Ice Arena.
