The Lindenwood men's volleyball team picked up its first MIVA win of the season with a 3-1 win over McKendree on Wednesday night in Lebanon, Ill. The Lions won by scores of 25-16, 25-21, 24-26, and 25-19.
Lindenwood won the match with its defense as it held the Bearcats to a .069 hitting percentage. The Lions had 12 blocks in the match, and McKendree had a total of 32 hitting errors and 22 service errors.
Colin Hackworth led the Lions with 11 kills and 13.5 points.
Jake Duckworth also recorded double-figure points after recording seven kills, three service aces, and two blocks.
Zach Bequette had a .625 hitting percentage after having five kills and no errors in just eight attempts.
Roman Seghezzi had a team-high 17 assists, Hackworth and
Mason Ohta each had a team-high five digs, and
Logan Jarus paced the squad with six blocks.
Lindenwood improves to 3-3 on the season and 1-2 in conference action. The Lions will be in action again on Saturday at Ohio State.
