The Lindenwood men's volleyball team continues to struggle against nationally-ranked teams. The Lions fell to No. 14 Lewis on Saturday evening in Romeoville, Ill. by scores of 25-16, 25-17, and 25-23.

For the second straight night, errors proved to be too much for Lindenwood to overcome. The Lions had 20 hitting errors and 15 service errors, compared to just 12 hitting errors and six service errors for the Flyers. The Lions had five more kills in the match, but had under a .200 hitting percentage.

Brian Keough was the top bright spot for the Lions. He entered the game before the third set and recorded six kills and a .308 hitting percentage for Lindenwood. He helped the Lions lead for much of the third set, and have a tie score of 23-23. Lewis was able to get the final two points for the three-set sweep.

Jake Duckworth finished with a team-high eight kills, one more than
Michael Chard.
Josh Jones and Chard each had three block assists, and
Connor Hipelius had two solo blocks.
Roman Seghezzi had 17 assists and
Ryan Vorderer led the team with seven digs.

Lindenwood falls to 4-12 on the season and 2-8 in MIVA action. The Lions start their final homestand of the season next weekend with a two-game MIVA series against Grand Canyon.
