The Lindenwood women's soccer team lost its final game of the 2017 season to Northwest Missouri by a final of 2-1 in Maryville, Mo. on Sunday.
The Bearcats scored their first goal in the 72nd minute and netted another goal less than four minutes later to take a late 2-0 lead.
Becky Roberts sent a pass across the box to
Morgan Weller to cut the deficit to one goal in the 87th minute, but it was too little too late.
Roberts piled on four shots while
Jordan Wipke tallied three shots taken in the game.
Mary McGilvray tied a career-high with 12 saves in net.
The Lions end the season with a 5-12-1 record and a 2-8-1 mark in the MIAA.
