The Lindenwood men's basketball team earned a season sweep over Lincoln on Valentine's Day at Hyland Arena. In the second game of a home-and-home series, the Lions won 73-61.

The Lions shot a season-high 62.5 percent from the field, which help them overcome having 13 more turnovers in the contest. Lindenwood grabbed 13 more rebounds, made four more three-pointers, and six more free throws in the victory.

The game followed a similar flow as the first contest last Saturday, with Lincoln leading at halftime. The Lions led this contest for most of the first half, including by as many as eight points at 22-14. The Blue Tigers came back, and the lead exchanged hands several times late in the half. When the halftime horn sounded, Lincoln was ahead 36-35.

Lincoln started the second half with a three-pointer, but the Lions took over the contest after that. LJ McIntosh sparked a 12-1 run that put the Lions up by seven points. Bakari Triggs had seven points in that spurt. The Lions eventually extended their lead to as many as 12 points and were never threatened late.

Bakari Triggs led Lindenwood with a career-high 20 points. He was eight-of-11 from the field and made three three-pointers. Chandler Diekvoss had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Jackson Price scored 14 points. Adam Pohlman had his second double-figure scoring game of his career with 10 points, and he had team-highs with four assists and two steals.

The game was Senior Night for two Lions. LJ McIntosh hit three-of-four three-pointers and finished with nine points and one assist. Rayko Dundalov played three minutes and dished out an assist on a three-pointer.

Lindenwood improves to 19-10 on the season and 8-8 in MIAA play. The Lions hit the road for their final three regular season games, starting this Saturday at Central Missouri.
