The Lindenwood baseball team split its doubleheader on Friday against Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, Ark. as the Lions took game one 6-3, but fell 7-3 in the second game.

The Lions tied the game in the fifth inning after a solo blast by
DJ Miller. Lindenwood came up big in the seventh inning after
Neil Fischer hit a two-run home run and
Ian Nelson later scored in the inning to give the Lions a 5-3 lead.Â

Lindenwood tied the game in the top of the fourth inning after a sacrifice fly by
Ian Nelson and a groundout that allowed
Neil Fischer to score to make it a 3-3 ballgame. The Muleriders poured on four runs in the bottom frame to take a 7-3 lead. Southern Arkansas allowed just one hit in the final three innings to take the second game of the doubleheader.
