GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood baseball team (26-21) defeated McKendree (11-35) 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.
 
McKendree scored the first run of the game in the first inning, which went unearned.  Niko Marshall was lights out following the opening frame, as he tallied six innings on the mound with three strikeouts and just four hits allowed.  The Lions tied the game in the top of the third inning on a sacrifice fly by DJ Miller that scored Bryce Beckmann.
 
Jayce Maag led off the top of the fifth inning with a single up the middle and stole second base.  Brennan Fitzpatrick singled to right center to bring in Maag from second, giving the Lions the lead.  Miller drove in Fitzpatrick on a single to centerfield to put the Lions up 3-1.  Justin Taylor earned a three-inning save to give the Lions the 3-1 win in the final non-conference game of the season.
