The Lindenwood women's hockey team (4-16-3, 2-10-0 CHA) lost 4-1 to Robert Morris (15-9-2, 9-3-0 CHA) on Saturday afternoon in Pittsburgh, Pa.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions jumped on the board first with a goal by
Courtney Ganske at the 12:49 mark of the first period. Robert Morris quickly responded with the tying goal less than three minutes later. The Colonials added a goal in the final minute of the opening frame to take a 2-1 lead, as both goals came on the power play.
Lindenwood tightened up the defensive end in the second period, by allowing just five shots on goal. However, the Colonials scored two goals to take a commanding 4-1 lead. Robert Morris did not allow the Lions to get any momentum going, as the Colonials tallied 16 shots on goal to just three for the Lions in the third period.
