The Lindenwood men's basketball team (10-16, 4-14 GLVC) fell to William Jewell (10-16, 5-13 GLVC) at home on Saturday, 88-87.
GAME OVERVIEW
After trailing by as many as 12 points to open the game, the Lions roared back to enter halftime down just two points, 39-37. Lindenwood shot 39.4 percent from the field, including a 4-13 spot from deep, and 70 percent from the foul line. The team scored 18 points in the paint in the first half to William Jewell's 16. Lindenwood had eight second chance points in the first half, while limiting the Cardinals to zero second chance points, and outscoring William Jewell's bench, 9-3.
After regaining the lead at the 18-minute mark in the second half, the Lions were unable to hang on, even after outscoring the opponent 50-49 in the final 20 minutes. The team shot 41.9 percent from the field while going 6-14 from the three point line. Lindenwood got to the free throw line 21 times in the second half, draining 18 attempts. The team was unable to limit points off turnovers, allowing William Jewell to score 18 points off turnovers, as Lindenwood tallied only four such points.

- TJ Crockett was the team's leading scorer with 26 points against William Jewell.
- Sukhman Bhinder added a career-high 15 points for the Lions. Blackmon and Scales finished with 19 and 16 points, respectively.
- Scales brought in a team-high 10 rebounds, setting a new personal-best, and finishing with his first career double-double.
- Crockett and Blackmon both finished with three assists for Lindenwood, which led the team.
- Blackmon's four steals was a game-high in the loss to William Jewell.
- Crockett recorded the only blocked shot of the game for the Lions.
