The No. 11 Lindenwood baseball team (14-1, 2-0 GLVC) won both games of its doubleheader over Southwest Baptist (6-11, 0-2 GLVC) by identical scores of 3-2 on Saturday at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

GAME ONE OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood pitching staff carried the Lions on Saturday, and it started with
Jacob Thompson who tossed eight innings and allowed just one earned run. Lindenwood took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning.Â
Maclaine McCarter drove in a run on a fielder's choice, while
Bryce Beckmann hit an RBI single to end the inning. The Bearcats tied the game in the top of the fourth with a pair of runs, setting the game at 2-2.

Both teams displayed quality pitching for the remainder of the game, as the Lions leaned on
Brody Roach in the final three innings of the game. In the bottom of the 11th inning,
Johnny Herrman poked a double to left field to spark a rally.Â
Logan Rezash hit a ball hard up the middle to bring in Herrman on a walk-off single in the first game of the series.

GAME TWO OVERVIEW
Lindenwood took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning of game two, which started with an RBI by
Kolby Schulte.Â
Dominic Revetta was plunked with the bases loaded, bringing in the second run of the inning.Â
Blake Beckmann was locked in, as he tallied eight strikeouts in seven innings of work. Southwest Baptist picked up a run in the top of the fourth, and another in the top of the eighth to tie the game at 2-2 yet again.

The Lions used their speed in the bottom of the ninth, which stated with an infield single by Beckmann. Later in the inning the Lions had bases loaded with one out, and a chance to win the game.Â
Beau Collier hit a high fly ball to left field, which was deep enough bring in Beckmann for the game-winning RBI.
