The Lindenwood men's basketball team (7-8, 7-8 GLVC) lost 90-71 to Drury (6-8, 6-8 GLVC) on Thursday night in Springfield, Mo.

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood struggled in the first four minutes of the game, as the Panthers built an 11-0 lead out of the gates.  Cameron Scales hit a three pointer, and Brandon Trimble followed up with a three ball of his own to cut into the deficit.  The Lions pulled within three points at the halfway point of the first half, after a layup by TJ Crockett.  Drury enjoyed a comfortable lead for the final 10 minutes, as the Panther took a 47-36 lead into the break.

Scales scored all 10 of his points in the first half, and grabbed four of his seven rebounds in the first 20 minutes of play.  Drury hit seven of its nine three pointers in the first half, and compiled seven second-chance points due to seven offensive rebounds.

Drury did not let off the gas in the second half, as the Panthers held a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game.  Lindenwood could not find its grove, as the disparity of 32 percent shooting from the field was outperformed by Drury's 51.6 shooting from the field in the second half.  Crockett scored 22 points, as the bench for the Lions contributed 25 points.  The Lions were able to compiled 13 points off turnovers, and tallied nine points on the fast break.

QUOTABLE
"Obviously not our best effort of the season," said head coach Kyle Gerdeman.  "As I told our team, I don't think this game defines us by any means, but we also have to know we need to play better and accept those realities.  We need a quick bounce back to get ready for a good Missouri S&T team on Saturday.  We have been able to do that before this season, and I expect us to be ready."
