In the finals, Lindenwood not only earned the highest raw score of the competition, but didn't have any deductions. That allowed the Lions to post a huge performance score and leap all the way to first place with an event score of 94.4236, well over two points ahead of Tarleton State and Shorter in second and third place respectively, and over three points ahead of Limestone University in fourth.
In the Intermediate Small Coed competition, Lindenwood was one of 14 different squads fighting for the title. Despite the large field, the Lions sat in second place after prelims with a performance score of 96.0926, about 0.4 points behind leader University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, and almost a full point ahead of Grand Valley State University in third.
