The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team beat the Davenport Panthers 21-11 in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Tuesday evening.
OVERVIEW
The Lions came out hot against the Panthers with a first-minute goal from
Logann Eldredge to kick things off. After goals from
Sara Grieco (2) and
Bridget Considine, along with three more from Eldredge, the Lindenwood was up 7-3 after the first period.
Emma Arnold netted three goals with a strong second period performance, while
Paige Sutton and
Meredith Parry got on the board as well with one each. Eldredge and Considine each provided all the assists on these goals, with Considine tallying three and Eldredge recording two.
The Lions had a 12-6 lead at the start of the third, and Grieco kicked things off with a man-up goal to start the period. Considine would go on to net two more goals, while Parry and Sutton each grabbed another as well.
Meghan Rea added a goal, helping the Lions to an 18-8 lead to close out the period.
Sophia DeFrancesco and
Aleksa Allen knocked in a goal each during the fourth, and Parry made sure to get another as well before the final whistle blew. Eldredge would lead the Lions with four total goals on the day, while Grieco, Parry, Considine and Arnold tied for second on the scoring leaderboard with three a piece. Eldredge and Considine each put up a total five assists, making them the leaders in that category as well.
Kelsey Long scooped up the most ground balls for the Lions with four total, while
Eleanor Kast lead the way in saves with 10 total.
