The Lindenwood baseball team (27-23) lost by a margin of 12-3 to Quincy (31-20) in the first round of the GLVC Championships on Thursday in St. Charles, Mo.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Hawks took an early lead with six runs in the third inning, while adding another in the fourth to take a 7-0 lead. Lindenwood generated its first run of the game in the top of the sixth to spark a rally.Â
Matt Hanson brought in
Jack Meyer to score on a single to right center to make it a five-run game. In the top of the seventh,
Kolby Schulte registered an RBI on a single, bringing the deficit to just four runs.

Quincy generated five more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, making it a nine-run lead. The Lions stranded five runners in the final three innings, falling by a final of 12-3 in the first game of the tournament.
