The Lindenwood men's basketball team (9-20, 4-12 OVC) dropped its final road game of the regular season to Morehead State (19-10, 12-4 OVC) by a final of 71-58 on Saturday in Morehead, Ky.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Eagles jumped out to an early 11-3 lead within the first five minutes, and moved the advantage to double digits shortly after. Lindenwood brought the game to 25-13 at the 7:20 mark, but Morehead State continued to find the bottom of the net in the first half. The Eagles shot 7-of-14 from three-point range in the opening frame to take a 38-23 lead at the break.

After falling behind by 17 points, Lindenwood clawed back.Â
Chris Childs knocked down a three pointer as part of a seven-point swing to get the deficit to 45-35 with 14:38 to play. Morehead State began to hit shots from deep, and made its free throws down the stretch to secure the win and break away as the top-ranked team in the conference.

Keenon Cole registered just two points in the first half, but erupted for 20 in the second frame to end his night with 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Cole was a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor, including 2-of-2 from behind the arc in the second half, and tallied another double-double with his 13 rebounds. Childs collected 15 points, while
Kevin Caldwell Jr. registered eight points with three assists.
