CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. --Freshman Landon Willbrand went 2-for-3 with a home run and an RBI for the Lindenwood Lions in a 12-1 loss to the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks on Saturday.
Sophomore Eli Brown (2-6) started and took the loss on the mound for Lindenwood (9-34, 5-9).
Willbrand led the way offensively for the Lions, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame with a home run and an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 11-0, the Lions first put runs on the board in the eighth inning. Willbrand put Lindenwood on the board with a two-out solo home run off sophomore Ethan Osborne. The Lions were unable to get any closer, as Southeast Missouri State added one run to their tally on the way to a 12-1 final.
