The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (9-12, 6-7 MIVA) fell in the penultimate game of the regular season to Lewis (15-12, 6-7 MIVA) 3-0 on Thursday night from Hyland Arena

GAME OVERVIEW
After a slow start in the opening set, the Lions clawed back and took the lead, 19-18 after four-consecutive points. However, Lewis ultimately regained control and grabbed the first set 25-23. A.J. Lewis had a strong first stanza, compiling four kills, which paced Lindenwood.

In the second set, Lindenwood jumped out to a 5-1 lead after a Connor Sheehan termination. With Lindenwood up 11-8, the Flyers won the next five points to take control of the set. Lewis would take a 2-0 advantage in the match after winning the second, 25-20.

Lindenwood went on to have its best offensive set in the third, hitting .276 as a team. The Lions registered their most kills in any set with 14 in the third.  The set presented a back-and-forth battle as neither team led by more than three points. Trailing 14-12, Lindenwood won the next three points, which forced a timeout from Lewis. The set remained close until Lewis grabbed a two-point edge and put the match away, winning the third, 25-23.
