Women’s ACHA Ice Hockey Skates to 3-3 Tie with Jamestown

Women's ACHA ice hockey skated to a 3-3 tie with the University of Jamestown Sunday afternoon at Northwest Arena in Jamestown, North Dakota.

The Jimmies jumped in front at the 15:18 mark of the first on a power play after the Lions were called for cross-checking at 13:50, but Lindenwood responded quickly with an even-strength effort just over a minute later. Loki Antonio scored her 15th of the season off a feed from Ardyn Hawryshko with 3:36 remaining in the period and it was 1-1 at the end of the first 20-minutes.

Antonio sounded the horn again just 11-seconds into the second on a play set up by Hawryshko and Alison Blaskovich to give Lindenwood a 2-1 advantage, but Jamestown knotted the game again at the nine-minute mark. The Jimmies were called for high-sticking moments later and that led to a Lions power play goal from Hawryshko at 12:01. Madison Teague earned her 16th assist of the season while Ava Bilton received the secondary assist and Lindenwood had a 3-2 lead, but it only lasted 54-seconds. The Jimmies tied the score at three and that's where it remained for the rest of the second and the entire third period.

The Lions put three pucks on goal in the five-minute overtime period while holding Jamestown shotless but could not get a game-winner.
Lindenwood outshot the Jimmies 40-39 and Jordan Tung stopped 36 of the 39 shots she faced in goal. The Lions scored once on two power play chances while holding Jamestown to a goal on four man-advantage chances.

Lindenwood finished its North Dakota trip with a record of 1-1-1 and the Lions are now 3-5-1 in the Women's Midwest College Hockey conference and 6-7-1 overall. They have another three-game weekend scheduled November 7-9 when Minot State, Jamestown and Minnesota come to town. The opening faceoff against the Beavers is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, at 9:20 p.m. versus the Jimmies on Friday, and at 9 p.m. against the Gophers on Saturday with all three games taking place at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
