Women’s Lacrosse Falls 14-10 to Liberty

ST. CHARLES, MO. – On Saturday morning, women's lacrosse took on the Liberty Flames. The Lions would fall to the Flames 14-10 after trying to mount a second half comeback.

GAME OVERVIEW
In the first quarter, Lindenwood would jump to an early 2-0 lead with goals coming from Logann Eldredge and Alissa Digiacinto. Liberty would answer back, scoring a pair. After one quarter of play, Lindenwood would be tied with the Flames 2-2.

In the second quarter, Liberty would score four straight in the frame. Lindenwood would find their first and only goal of the quarter at 1:15, coming from Kiley Davis. After one half of play, Lindenwood would trail Liberty 6-3.

In the third quarter, Digiacinto would get the Lions on the board first, at 9:56. Liberty would rebound, with the Flames going on a three-goal stretch, extending their lead to five. Davis would score her second goal of the game at 3:31 to cut the Lions deficit to four. Not more than two minutes later, Reese Krieger would get on the board for the Lions, with Lindenwood trailing 9-6 with 2:03 left in the frame. Liberty would get the final two answers of the frame, leading 10-6 going into the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Liberty would strike first at 9:38. Lindenwood would mount a come back in the scoring three straight with the last tally coming at 6:59, closing the Lions deficit to three. Liberty and Lindenwood would tradeoff the next two goals, with Liberty leading 13-10 with 3:36 to go. Liberty would score the final goal of the game at 2:18, to extend the Flames lead four.

After this matchup, Lindenwood moved to 12-4 on the season and 2-3 in ASUN play. Elizabeth Goth got the nod in net, making 16 stops which tied the program record for most saves in a single game. Davis led Lindenwood on the day in scoring with four points.
