ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Lindenwood women's ice hockey has announced their 2024-25 schedule under second-year head coach
Taylor Wasylk. The Lions will now play in the Atlantic Hockey America Conference (AHA), formerly know as College Hockey America (CHA).
"We could not be more excited to hit the ice this fall and start our 2024-2025 campaign," said Wasylk. "We are thrilled to be competing in the newly branded AHA as well as matching up versus some familiar faces in our out of conference competitions. We are counting down the days to what will most certainly be a very competitive year in and out of conference for the Lions."
Lindenwood will start their 2024-25 schedule at home against St. Cloud on September 21 and 22 at Centene Community Ice Center. Game times are slated for a 6:00 p.m. CT on Friday and 1:00 p.m. CT on Saturday.
The Lions will then hit the road during week two of the season to take on the Badgers of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. on Sept. 27 and 28. After two weeks off, Lindenwood will continue their road trip at Bemidji (Oct. 18-19) and at Merrimack (Oct. 25-26).
Returning home on November 1-2, AHA play will start as the Lions will take on Mercyhurst at 6:00 p.m. CT and 1:00 p.m. CT respectively. After a non-conference matchup against St. Thomas (Nov. 7-8), the Lions will travel to University Park, Pa. to take on the Nittany Lions of Penn State (Nov. 15-16) for their second AHA series.
Lindenwood will start their third home series of the season on Nov. 22-23 when they welcome Syracuse for a two game series. Times are set for 4:00 p.m. CT and 1:00 p.m. CT and will be a double header with the men's team.
The Lions will play one final series before the holiday break on December 6-7 at AHA-member RIT. Lindenwood will resume play after the new year as they host non-conference opponent Mankato on January 3 and 4. Puck drop will be set for 4:00 p.m. CT and 1:00 p.m. CT (Double header with MIH).
The final home series will be against Robert Morris (Jan. 10-11), Penn State (Jan. 24-25) and RIT (Feb. 7-8). Lindenwood will also travel to Mercyhurst (Jan. 17-18) and Syracuse (Jan. 31-Feb. 1) to end the season.
The AHA Quarterfinals are set to happen on February 21-23 with the Seminals for March 1 and Championship game on March 8. For more information on Lindenwood women's ice hockey go to lindenwoodlions.com.
