Women's bowling was ranked 10th in the third National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA) poll of the 2025-26 season. The Lady Lions received a total of 414 points to sit 36 points behind Maryville in ninth, 58 points behind Judson in eighth, and 60 points behind Milligan University in seventh.
Jacksonville State University received 22 first place votes and 950 points overall to claim the top spot, followed by Mount Mercy with five first place votes and 902 points. Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) – Savannah was voted third in the poll with 698 points, Louisiana Tech fourth with 676 points, and the University of Pikeville fifth with 668 points.
In the men's poll, Wichita State University received 25 first place votes and 1158 points overall for the top ranking. St. Ambrose was second with four first place votes and 974 points, followed by Mount Mercy in third with one first place vote and 944 points. Newman University received 794 points for fourth place followed by Webber International in fifth with 786 points.
Men's and women's bowling will travel to Smyrna, Tennessee for team Sectional competition March 14-15. The Lions and Lady Lions will seek a top four finish to advance to the Intercollegiate Team Championships which will take place in April. The Tennessee Sectional is one of four sites across the country with regional competitions.

The NCBCA Coaches' Team Poll is a presentation of the top 20 USBC Collegiate bowling programs determined by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA). The NCBCA membership includes college bowling coaches, club advisors, tournament directors, and conference officers. Each NCBCA member completes a ballot ranking the top 20 USBC Collegiate programs. On each ballot, the 1st place team receives 40 points, 2nd place-34 points, 3rd place-30 points, 4th place-28 points, 5th place-26 points, 6th place-24 points, 7th place-22 points, 8th place-20 points, 9th place-18 points, 10th place-16 points, 11th place-14 points, 12th place-12 points, 13th place-10 points, 14th place-8 points, 15th place-6 points, 16th place-5 points, 17th place-4 points, 18th place-3 points, 19th place-2 points, and 20th place-1 point. NCBCA member ballots are tabulated and generate the NCBCA Coaches' Poll.
