Scott Gauthier will serve as the Director of Operations for the men's basketball program beginning with the 2023-24 season.

Gauthier spent the last seven seasons as an assistant coach on the men’s basketball staff at nearby University of Missouri-St. Louis. Under his direction, the Tritons registered an overall record of 135-70 and made three NCAA Division II Tournament appearances, including a trip to the Elite Eight a year ago.

In 2018-19, UMSL won 20 games for the first time since 1990-91. The following year, the Tritions posted a program-best record of 27-6, which culminated in the programs first NCAA Tournament bid after clinching a share of the GLVC regular season title.

Prior to his time in St. Louis, Mo., Gauthier spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at Webster Groves. During his time with the Statesmen, he helped guide the team to a 218-41 (.930) record, which included nine Suburban South Conference championships, three district championships, two state quarterfinal appearances and the 2008 Missouri Class 5 state championship.

A member of the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association, Gauthier earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and Masters of Accountancy from the University of Missouri in 2000 and received his Master of Business Administration from Saint Louis University in 2015.
