Steve Showalter is in his first season as a Lindenwood men's basketball coach in 2015-16. He comes to St. Charles after one of the most successful runs as a head coach in the state of Wisconsin.
 
Showalter spent the last 15 seasons as the head coach at Germantown High School in Wisconsin. In his 15 seasons, he compiled a record of 286-81 (.779) while also winning three-straight state championships.
 
Showalter's teams won the division one state championship in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and fell just short of four in a row this past season, losing in the finals. He also led Germantown to the state tournament in 2008 and 2009, and broke the state record for consecutive wins with 69.
 
Not only did Showalter lead his teams to state championship, but he coached two Gatorade Players of the Year in Wisconsin and the Mr. Basketball of Wisconsin in 2013.
 
Before becoming a head coach, Showalter was the head assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville under now Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan.
 
Not only has Showalter had a successful coaching career he had a very good playing career. He played four seasons at UW-Platteville where he was a NAIA All-American and an all-conference performer for two seasons. He is in the top-10 in scoring at Platteville. After college, he played professionally in Ireland and Australia.
