Jason Power joined the men's ice hockey staff as an assistant coach for the 2020-21 season, entering his 22nd year of coaching overall.

In 2008 he jumped to the junior ranks at the Tier 3 level and worked his way up to the North American Hockey League with the Springfield Junior Blues and Topeka Pilots, and eventually the United States Hockey League with the Omaha Lancers and the Lincoln Stars.

He captured a silver medal with the Romanian National team at the 2016 Division 2 IIHF World Championship and was named head coach for the Romanian u20 team in 2019
