Richard Davison is in his third season as the head coach of the Lindenwood women’s water polo team. He has been with the men's water polo squad for eight years and was named head coach this past season.

Last year, Davison guided Lindenwood's women to a 12-7 overall record. The Lady Lions finished third at the Heartland Division Tournament, also had an eight-game winning streak during the season. Davison helped lead the men’s team to a fifth-place showing in the program’s first year at the Division I level.

In 2009, Davison led the Lady Lions to an 8-5 overall record, after the squad had won just 10 games in the previous two seasons. Lindenwood was the top team in the Heartland Division in the regular season and reached the conference tournament championship game. As a coach on the men’s team, he has contributed to the Lions winning three national championships and four conference titles.

Davison brings over 30 years of high school, national, collegiate and international water polo experience to Lindenwood. He has also served as a professional water polo referee and swim official for the Missouri State High School Athletic Association and the NCAA Collegiate Water Polo Association.
