Glenn Norwood

Glenn Norwood returns for his second season on the Lindenwood University track and field coaching staff and will primarily work with the Lion jumpers and hurdlers.  During his first season at Lindenwood, Coach Norwood oversaw the sprinters, hurdlers, and relay squads.
 
Norwood arrived at Lindenwood after coaching stints at Hazelwood Central HS (2010-16), Trinity Catholic HS (2017-21), and Westminster Christian Academy (2022).  During his high school career as a Head Coach, Norwood has won four State Championships, two second place finishes, and three third place finishes at the Missouri State Track and Field Championships.  Norwood was also named the 2019 United State Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Women’s Coach of the Year for Missouri. In 2013, he was named Coach of the Year via the Missouri Track and Cross Country Coaches Association.  Norwood brings nearly 20 years of coaching experience to Lindenwood University.
 
Norwood is coming off a 2022-23 season at Lindenwood where he helped various athletes and one relay place at the indoor and outdoor OVC Championships.  Norwood also holds a Level I Certificate from USA Track and Field. 

Norwood has a Bachelor’s Degree in general studies (Southeast Missouri State), a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration (Lindenwood University), and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Fontbonne University).
