The Lindenwood men's basketball lost its second game in a row in Las Vegas, Nev. at the NCAA Division II Vegas Showdown. On Saturday, the Lions fell 62-59 to Concordia-St. Paul.
The Lions had a tough day shooting the ball and that spelled doom. Lindenwood shot just 39 percent from the field and 25 percent from behind the three-point line. Concordia was quite the opposite shooting 50 percent from the field. Concordia also dominate the paint outscoring the Lions 34-18.
Lindenwood and Concordia was tied at the half but the Lions were outscored 32-29 in the final 20 minutes.
Cory Arentsen led the way with 21 points and six rebounds. The junior was seven-for-12 from the field and four-of-seven from behind the arc.
Darris Smith was the only other Lion with double digits in scoring with 10. Concordia won the battle of the boards outrebounding Lindenwood 34-26.
The Lions will be back in St. Charles on Wednesday night for their home opener against Greenville College.
