Women's Hockey Looks To Continue Hot CHA Start At Penn State

Series Notes
- The Lindenwood women's hockey team looks to continue its best conference start this weekend with a two-game series at Penn State. The Lady Lions and Nittany Lions will skate at 7 p.m. (eastern time) on Friday evening, and at 2 p.m. (eastern time) on Saturday afternoon.

- Lindenwood is tied for second in the CHA with a 2-1-1 conference mark, and it is 3-6-1 overall on the season. Last time out, the Lady Lions split two overtime games with Robert Morris. The Colonials won the first game 3-2, and Lindenwood won the second game by a 4-3 margin.

- Penn State is currently 6-5-3 overall and 1-2-1 in CHA play. The Nittany Lions split a series at defending CHA champion RIT last weekend. They lost the first game by a 3-0 margin, but bounced back to win the second game in overtime by a 3-2 score.

- Lindenwood leads the all-time series with Penn State by a 5-2-1 margin. The Lady Lions have never lost at Penn State as they have a 3-0-1 mark on the road against the Nittany Lions.

- Last season, Lindenwood went 3-1-0 against Penn State, despite both teams scoring nine goals in the series. In Wentzville, the Lady Lions won the opener 2-1, while Penn State won game two by a 4-1 margin. Lindenwood earned a road sweep later in the year by scores of 2-1 and 4-3.

- Lindenwood and Penn State both joined the CHA in the 2012-13 season. The Lady Lions are in their fourth season as a NCAA program, while the Nittany Lions are in their third year.

- Lindenwood scored the first two goals in game one of the Robert Morris series, but the Colonials came back for a 3-2 overtime win.

- The Lady Lions trailed two different times in game two of the series, but came back both times and eventually won the game in overtime.

- Katie Erickson was one of three Lindenwood skaters with at least three points in the series, with two goals and one assist. She scored the game-winning overtime goal, the second game-winning goal of her career.

- Shara Jasper led the team in the Robert Morris series with four points, all on assists. She collected two assists in each game.

- Jordyn Constance had a team-high three goals in the two games against the Colonials, including two power-play goals. Her final goal forced overtime in the second game.

- Goalie Nicole Hensley made 65 saves against Robert Morris and had a .915 save percentage for the series.

- Shara Jasper leads the team on the season with five goals, six assists, and 11 points. She ranks third in the CHA with 1.10 points, 0.50 goals, and 0.60 assists a game. Jasper leads the CHA with 0.50 power-play points a game.

- Jordyn Constance is tied for the team-high with five goals. The five goals already matches her previous season-best total.

- Katie Erickson and Alyssa West are second on the team with five assists apiece on the season. They are tied for seventh in the CHA with 0.50 assists a game.

- Katie Nokelby leads the team with a +3 plus/minus on the season. In CHA contests, Shara Jasper has a team-high +3 plus/minus. Five other skaters also have a positive plus/minus for the CHA games.

- In CHA contests, goalie Nicole Hensley ranks fourth in the league with a 1.92 GAA, and she is third with a .945 save percentage.

- Alyssa West had an assist against Robert Morris. She now has 60 career points, which ties her for first in the Lindenwood record books.

- Shara Jasper has recorded at least one point in six of Lindenwood's last seven games. She has two points in four of those contests.

- Among active players, Alyssa West leads Lindenwood with three goals against Penn State. Caitlyn Post, Lyndsay Kirkham, and Jocelyn Slattery have all scored twice against the Nittany Lions.
