Box Score The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team defeated Belmont Abbey Saturday on the road 15-6.

The Lady Lions exploded to a huge 13-0 lead at halftime behind a hat trick from Melissa Menchella. Shelby Polk and Melissa Smith had two goals each in the first half.

Menchella would score again in the second half en route to the win.

Christine Hehmeyer made seven stops in net for the win as the Lady Lions outshot Belmont Abbey 34-16.

Lindenwood improves to 5-2 on the season. The Lady Lions begin RMAC play next Friday at Adams State.
