Box Score The Lindenwood Lady Lions soccer team beat the Washburn Ichabods 1-0 after a late penalty kick on Friday night in Topeka, Kan.

The game was scoreless for almost 84 minutes until the Ichabods were called for a penalty inside the box with 6:09 to play.

Danielle Torry took the penalty kick for the Lady Lions and was successful for the only goal of the game. Lindenwood outshot Washburn 12-8 in the game. It was a physical game as the teams were called for 31 fouls.

Melissa Weiss earned the shutout for the Lady Lions stopping all three shots she faced on goal.

Lindenwood improved to 3-3-1 overall on the season and 2-1 in MIAA play. Up next for the Lady Lions is a road game against Emporia State on Sunday afternoon.
