The Lindenwood baseball team won the opening game of a weekend series against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos on Friday night in St. Charles.
Â
The Lions got the offense going early in the contest scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. Lindenwood started the game with a leadoff single by
Kolby Schulte followed by a walk and a RBI single by
DJ Miller. The home team then added three more runs on and never looked back.
Â
Lindenwood starter
Kyle Hentis cruised through the first three innings surrendering just one hit. Central Oklahoma got on the scoreboard with a single tally in the fourth and that is all the Bronchos offense would bring across.
Â
Henits and
Eric Hipp combined to give up just four hits and one run. Hentis earned his third win of the year while also striking out 10 in six innings of work. Hipp earned his third save of the year pitching the final three frames.
