Crockett's 25 Points Not Enough Against Southern Indiana

The Lindenwood men's basketball team dropped its matchup with Southern Indiana, 83-74, on Saturday. The Lions' records sits at 8-12, and the team is 2-10 within the GLVC.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions led, 40-36, entering halftime after a first half that saw them shoot 43 percent from the field, while also getting up eight more shots than the Screaming Eagles. The team hit on 4-11 threes in the first half, and went 8-10 from the free throw line. TJ Crockett led the team in first half points with 13, while Luka Radosevic also reached double-digit scoring in the half with 10 points.

The second half was dominated by Southern Indiana as Lindenwood was outscored, 47-34, over the final 20 minutes of the game. The Lions shot just 36 percent from the field, including a 23.1 percent mark from deep. Over the course of the game, the team shot under 30 percent from the three-point line. Crockett was the one player to score double-digits in the final half, with 12 points.

"It was a hard fought game tonight," said Head Coach Kyle Gerdeman. "Give USI a lot of credit, they made the big plays when they needed to. But I give our guys a lot of credit too, because they played well for a long time, and they never stopped competing."
