Men's Basketball Dominant in Road Win at Quincy

The Lindenwood men's basketball defeated the Hawks of Quincy, 74-64, to halt the Lions' 10-game losing streak.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions never trailed in Saturday's game, and the team jumped out to an 11-2 lead after the first three minutes of the game. Lindenwood outscored Quincy 34-21 in the first half, as the Lions held Quincy to a 29.6 shooting percentage over the first 20 minutes, including 20 percent shooting from three. The Lions' biggest first half lead was 15 points, when they were up 19-4 at the 14 minute mark.

The second half saw the Lions hold onto the lead, despite a strong shooting effort from the Hawks, as Quincy outscored Lindenwood 43-40 in the half. The Lions were about to utilize strong shooting at the free throw line, as the team reached the charity stripe 29 times, hitting on 79.3 percent of their free throws. TJ Crockett led both teams with 16 free throw attempts as he hit on all 16.

  • Crockett led all scorers with 24 points, and for the 13th time this season, he led the team in scoring.

  • Radosevic and Scales both finished with eight rebounds for Lindenwood, which was a team-high.
  • Radosevic also assisted on three scores, which was a team-high. Radosevic recorded the only block for the team on Saturday.
  • Sukhman Bhinder and Radosevic both finished with two steals apiece, which led the team.

"Could not be happier for these guys. Our seniors have never stopped leading us," said Head Coach Kyle Gerdeman. "The team has never lost focus or stopped working hard. Winning is precious, so the team deserves to enjoy every second of this one."
