On Saturday morning, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (8-8) face-offed against the Liberty University Flames. The Lions would fall the Flames by a score of 22-8.
Overview
The Flames would tally the first goal of the game and score four more times. The Lions would score twice in the period coming from
Elisabeth Ralph and
Logann Eldredge. The Flames would lead 5-2 going in the second frame. In the second quarter the Flames would up their scoring, tallying seven times while the Lions scored twice, both goals coming from Ralph. The Flames would lead 12-4 going into the second half.
In the third quarter, the Flames would again tally the first goal of the quarter. The Flames would score four more times in the frame while the Lions would score three times coming from
Lindsey Smith,
Lexy Biller and
Isabella Rulapaugh. The Flames would lead going into the final frame by a score of 17-7. In the fourth quarter, the Flames would control the scoring category, tallying five times while holding the Lions to one goal coming from
Natalie Gane.
Eleanor Kast started in net for the Lions and later on
Elizabeth Goth would relieve Kast.
