Women’s Lacrosse Drops Final Regular Season Matchup

On Saturday, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team face-offed against Kennesaw State in the Lions final regular season game. The Lions would drop their matchup to the Owls 15-14.

Overview
The Lions came out hot to start off the game, putting in the first three goals. Before the quarter was over the Owls would put one in with the Lions leading 3-1 going into the second quarter. Scorers for the Lions included Logann Eldredge, Paige Sutton, and Lindsey Smith. The Owls would start of the scoring in the second rattling off two in a row to tie the game up at three's. The Lions would bounce back scoring two of their own coming from Eldredge and Natalie Gane. In the latter part of the second, the Owls would score three in a row to take the 6-5 lead. With eight seconds left in the half Smith would bury one to tie the game up 6-6 going into the second half.

In the third quarter, the Owls would score four times while the Lions would score five times. The Lions would lead 11-10 going into the final frame. In the fourth quarter, the Owls would start off the scoring, tallying three goals in a row. The Lions would bounce back scoring three in a row to take back the 14-13 lead. The Owls would score two more times to end the game, putting in the game-winner with nine seconds left.

Eleanor Kast started in net for the Lions making nine saves.
