Nick Jones added his 24th goal of the season at 13:49 giving the Lions their first lead, 2-1.
Jack Louko and
Brett Robinson were rewarded with assists on the play. The Lions goaltender

The Lions picked up an insurance goal with 10:55 left to play in the period thanks to and odd-man rush.
Stanley Lucas scored the goal by way of a rebound from a Micheal Mullen shot. Robinson also picked up an assist on Lucas' goal. The Falcons cut the Lions lead to one once more with 8:13 remaining in the game, but Kujawski held strong for the remainder of the contest.
The Lions 3-2 victory saw them outshot the Falcons 46-24 and improve their record to 28-2 on the year. Their 3-0-0 road trip capped off the Lions' first ever sweep of the Miami (Ohio) Showcase. Also, Lions defensemen,
Chase McClellan, joined the exclusive 100 game club in Sunday's game.
The Lions host the Lindenwood Winter Classic by JOG beginning January 31, and their first game will be a rematch against Concordia University (Wisc.) on Friday at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Puckdrop is scheduled for 8:50 p.m.
