Two members of the women's bowling team advanced to the Intercollegiate Singles Championship (ISC) through Sectional competition in Fort Worth, Texas Friday afternoon.
Hailey Bozych finished third in the field of 182 with a six-game total of 1336 (222.67 average) while teammate
Liz Rittenour posted a score of 1294 (215.67 average) to take

fifth. Based on field size, the top six at the event earned their spot to the ISC among 24 players nationwide.
There were 10 Lady Lions that competed individually in Texas. In addition to the Lindenwood qualifiers,
Samantha Smith missed the top six by only 22-pins, finishing with 1262 (210.33 average) to take 12
th.
Carissa Merkle took 27
th with a score of 1196 (199.33 average),
Maddie Millsaps finished 49
th with 1146 (191 average) to tie for 49
th, and
Haylie Frick was right behind in 51
st with 1141 (190.17 average).
Bozych is making a return appearance to the ISC. Last season, she advanced from Fort Worth and made it all the way to the championship TV finals.
In the men's field of 190 players,
Emmanuel McPherson was the top Lion with a total of 1370 (228.33 average). He finished ninth, just 15-pins out of the top six cut to advance.
Luke Batchelor and
Graham Mortimore tied for 32
nd place with 1287 (214.5 average) with
Tyler Amos right behind in 34
th with 1285 (214.17 average).
Juan Pablo Aguirre tied for 48
th with 1255 (209.17 average),
Justin Kennedy took 51
st with 1250 (208.33 average),
Mike Anderson finished 64
th with 1233 (205.5 average),
Evan Kowalski took 75
th with 1216 (202.67 average), and
Christian Petersen finished 88
th with 1202 (200.33 average).
The 24 women and 24 men that advanced to the ISC will compete in Las Vegas beginning April 15. After six games of qualifying, the competitors will be seeded into a bracket for three-game, total pins matches. The final four in each division will compete in single game matches for the TV finals on April 19 for broadcast during the month of May.
