Lindenwood University hosted its annual High School Rugby Tournament this past weekend, welcoming teams from across the Midwest and a touring side from Colorado for a competitive two-day showcase ahead of the Lions' home matchup against Penn State.

Lindenwood University welcomed some of the Midwest's top young rugby talent this past weekend as it hosted its annual High School Rugby Tournament, a two-day showcase that served as the lead-up to the Lions' home matchup against Penn State at Hunter Stadium.

The event brought together a strong field of high school programs from across the region, along with a touring side from Colorado, Monarch High School, who traveled with both varsity and junior varsity squads. The varsity division featured teams including Monarch High, Bixby, St. Thomas Aquinas, Saint Louis University High, Eureka, STL Jets, Christian Brothers College, and Western Force, while the junior varsity competition included St. Thomas Aquinas, Christian Brothers, and Monarch High.

Saturday's schedule featured a full slate of matches across both the Lindenwood track field and Hunter Stadium. Early contests saw St. Thomas Aquinas face Christian Brothers, followed by Monarch High taking on St. Thomas Aquinas and Western Force meeting Saint Louis University High. As the day progressed, matchups between Monarch and Christian Brothers, Monarch and Bixby, and Christian Brothers against St. Thomas Aquinas kept the competition intense throughout the afternoon. The action then moved into Hunter Stadium where Bixby faced Saint Louis University High, followed by Christian Brothers against Western Force, setting the stage for the evening's main event between Lindenwood and Penn State.

Sunday continued the tournament's momentum with additional matchups including St. Thomas Aquinas vs Monarch, Bixby vs STL Jets, and Monarch vs Christian Brothers, along with further games at Hunter Stadium featuring Monarch vs Saint Louis University High and St. Thomas Aquinas vs Eureka.
