Lindenwood Rugby and Major League Rugby to Co-Host P4 Skills Competition

Lindenwood rugby and Major League Rugby (MLR) have officially announced the inaugural P4 Rugby Skills Competition, a new interactive rugby showcase that will take place as part of the official MLR Championship Fan Fest at SeatGeek Stadium in Chicago on Saturday, June 21, immediately preceding the 2026 Major League Rugby final.
 
The P4, which represents Pass, Punt, Posts, and Push, is a rugby skills competition built for middle school and high school athletes, testing competitors across four essential elements of the game. Designed to celebrate athleticism, teamwork, and rugby versatility, the event will give participants the opportunity to compete in a high-energy championship environment alongside the biggest day in North American professional rugby.
 
Co-hosted by Lindenwood Rugby and Major League Rugby, the competition will be integrated directly into the MLR Final festivities at SeatGeek Stadium, placing young athletes and their families at the center of championship weekend activities.
 
Competitors will participate in pairs, encouraging teams to combine complementary skill sets, often pairing forwards and backs together, to maximize performance across all four events.
 
Registration for the P4 includes:
  • Entry into the P4 Rugby Skills Competition
  • An official event T-shirt
  • Access to the MLR Championship Fan Fest atmosphere
  • A ticket to the 2026 Major League Rugby Final
  • Opportunities for prizes and in-stadium recognition
The competition window is scheduled for approximately 3:30-6p.m. on June 21 ahead of the MLR Final kickoff later that evening.
 
"We wanted to create something that truly reflects the complete rugby athlete while giving young players a memorable championship-weekend experience," said Lindenwood Head Coach Josh Macy. "Having this event as part of the official MLR Fan Fest creates an incredible atmosphere and opportunity for the next generation of rugby players."
