• The Lions enter today's game with a record of 4-0. Lindenwood is coming off a 93-58 victory over the William Woods Owls.
• The Quincy Hawks host the Lions in a third straight game against a MIAA team. Quincy played Truman and Central Missouri in its previous two games. The Hawks went 1-1 in those two contests with one at home and one on the road.
• The Hawks come into today's game with a record of 2-2. Quincy is 2-1 this season at the Pepsi Center.
• Today's game will be the first time the two school's have met.
• The game will be the second game against a NCAA Division II team.
• Last season, Lindenwood averaged over 85 points a game which was the most in school history. This season the Lions started off the first three games scoring 88.8 points.
• Since the Lions are in a provisional season the team is not allowed in the Division II statistical leaders. But if the team was able, it would be ranked seconds in the country in points per game. The teams points average is tops in the MIAA.
• Dating back to last season Lindenwood has a current 10 game home winning streak, and a eight game overall win streak.
• The Lions are outscoring their first four opponents by an average of 26.5 points.
• This season's roster consists of five seniors and those seniors are leading the way. The five seniors are scoring 64 percent of the team's average points per game.
• Lindenwood has done a good job spreading the scoring around this season. The Lions have four separate guys averaging double figures.
• Senior point guard
Alex Bazzell is creeping up the career lists at Lindenwood. He is just 57 points away from being the ninth player in school history to score 1,000 points. He is third in free throws made, third in assists, and second in free throw percentage.
• Senior forward
Richie Thompson has been dominating the glass in the early season. Thompson has grabbed 39 rebounds in the first four games. His average of 9.8 is in the top two if the MIAA.
• Freshman guard
Brandon Marquardt is making an early impact in his first season of college basketball. Through two games he is averaging 7.0 points and is 7-for-10 from behind the three point line.
• Through four games this season Lindenwood is absolutely dominating the glass. The team is averaging 47.8 rebounds a game compared to its opponents 30.8 and has won the rebound battle in all four games.
•The Lions have shot 51 more free throws than their opponents. In all four games this season Lindenwood has taken more free throws than its opponents.
• As a team the Lions are shooting 51 percent from the floor. That would rank eighth in the NCAA Division II and is tops in the MIAA.
• Defense has been the name of the game in the early season. The Lions are holding their opponents to just 35 percent shooting from the field. Opponents are scoring just 62.2 points a game.

Brett Thompson is making his return to the court in 2012-13. After red shirting in 2011-12 due to a knee injury he is back in the Lions lineup. In his first four games this seasons he is averaging 11.8 points and over five rebounds.
• After playing a season without a conference the Lions will play this year in the MIAA. Lindenwood will play 18 conference games.
• Over the past two seasons, the Lions have seen over time numerous times. In 2011-12, the team played three over time games. The team has already played one extra period in just four games this season. The Lions have a 2-2 record in overtime since last season.
• Since
Brad Soderberg has taken over as the head coach four seasons ago, the month of November has been pretty successful. The Lions are 20-4 in the first month of the season under Soderberg.
• The Hyland Arena floor has been very good to the Lions since
Brad Soderberg took over. In his first four seasons, Lindenwood is 43-5 at home.
• For the first time in school history the Lions have had three consecutive 20 win seasons. All three seasons have been under the watchful eye of Coach Soderberg.
• The Lions return seven of their top eight scorers from last season's squad. The only loss was
Kramer Soderberg who averaged 17.9 points.
• The Quincy Hawks enter today's game with a record of 2-2 and are coming off two games against MIAA teams. The Hawks beat Truman State 69-66 and then fell to Central Missouri 59-77.
• As a team Quincy is averaging 68.0 points a game on offense and is surrendering 71.5 on the defensive side of the floor. The Hawks are shooting 42 percent from the field and 33 percent from behind the three-point line.
• Quincy is led by a junior and a senior who are both averaging over 10 points a night. Chris Babbitt is tops on the team with 11.8 points a game and also leads the team in rebounds 5.8. Tyler Thompson is second in the team in scoring and rebounding. He is scoring 11.5 points and grabbing 4.8 rebounds.
• Marty Bell is the head coach of the Hawks and is in his 10th season.
