• The Lindenwood Lions will go back onto the road this week when the team travels to Bolivar, Mo. to take on the Southwest Baptist Bearcats. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 12-5 overall and 5-4 in MIAA play. Southwest Baptist has a record of 6-11 and 4-5 in MIAA play.
• Lindenwood is coming off a 66-63 loss the Washburn Ichabods. The Lions have won their last three road games and will play their next seven-of-nine games away from St. Charles.
• Southwest Baptist is playing its third straight home game and is coming off a 89-88 win over Nebraska-Kearney. The Bearcats have a record 4-4 at home.
• The Bearcats lead the series 1-0 after winning in overtime last season in Alaska.
Lindenwood Notes
• The Lions are leading the MIAA in field goal percentage with a mark of .484. There is three individuals in the top 10.
Brett Thompson is first at 64 percent,
Richie Thompson is fifth at 56 percent, and
Cody Sorenson is 8th at 54 percent.
• Not only are the Lions leading the conference in field goal percentage they are tops in four other categories. The team is first in scoring (78.8), scoring margin (+12.5), rebounding margin (+8.8), and defensive rebounds a game (28.5).
• This season's roster consists of five seniors and those seniors are leading the way. The group is scoring 67 percent of the team's average points per game.

Richie Thompson has led the team in rebounding 11 times. He has also led the team in blocks eight times.
• The Lions have made at least five threes in every game but twice this season. The season high in made threes was 12 against William Woods.
• When the Lions score at least 80 points the team is 6-0 and when the team scores over 70 the team is 8-3.

Alex Bazzell has been the Lions go to scorer so far this season. He has led the team in scoring in 10-of-17 games.
• Earlier this season, Bazzell scored his 1,000 career point as a Lindenwood Lion. He becomes the ninth Lion in program history to reach the milestone.

Alex Bazzell has been a frequent visitor to the free-throw line. He has 164 attempts and has made 140. The next closest on his team in attempts is

• Over the past two seasons, the Lions have seen overtime numerous times. In 2011-12, the team played three overtime games. The team has already played in three over time games. The Lions have a 2-4 record in overtime since last season.

• As a team Southwest Baptist is averaging 67.9 points a game on offense and is giving up 75.5 points on defense. The Bearcats are shooting 42 percent from the field and 35 percent from behind the three-point line.
• The Bearcats are led by a trio of scorers who score in double figures. Leading the way is Preston Guiot is averaging 11.7 points a game. Damion Hooks is second on the team averaging 10.9 points. Gilbert Gyamfi is also scoring in double digits with 10.1 and is leading the team rebounds with 3.9.
• Jeff Guiot is the head coach of Southwest Baptist and is in his 8th season at the helm.
