• The Lindenwood Lions will play their second consecutive home non-conference game against the Quincy Hawks.
• Lindenwood snapped its three-game losing streak last Wednesday after a 87-60 win over the visiting Westminster Blue Jays.

• Quincy comes to the Hyland Arena with a record of 1-2. The Hawks are coming off their first win of the season against Robert Morris-Springfield.
• This is the second straight season that the Lions and the Hawks have met. Last season, the Hawks beat the Lions in Quincy 81-74.
Lindenwood Notes
• Rebounding has not been a problem in the early season for the Lions. The team has won the rebounding battle in all but one game.

Michael Boos and
Garrett Reeg have made their return back to the court after both redshirted a season ago. Boos has averaged 9.5 points in his first four games and Reeg scored an average of 9.3.
• Sophomore
Brandon Marquardt has been the first Lion off the bench in the first four games. He has also been very effective. Marquardt is averaging 11.8 points in four games and has scored in double figures three times. The sophomore is also leading the team in scoring.
• The Lions have done a good job spreading the scoring around in the early season. Lindenwood has three guys that average over 10 points a game and three more that average at nine. In every game this season, there has been a different leading scorer. Â

Sam Mader transferred to Lindenwood from NCAA Division I, Northern Illinois and has made an instant impact. Mader has scored in double figures twice and has led the team in rebounds in a game.
• Three point shooting has been a strength in the early season. The Lions have made at least seven threes in every game but one. In a win against Westminster Lindenwood made a season-high 10 threes. Four separate Lions have also made double digit threes.
• With the injury to backup point guard
Nick Van Osdale,
Tyler Ressel has had to step up and run the point while Smith has taken a rest. Ressel has dished out seven assists while running the point. The lone senior is second on the team in scoring with 10.5 points a game. Â
• Working the glass on the offensive side has been a positive for the Lions in the early season. Every player but one has grabbed at least one offensive rebound. Reeg is leading the team in offensive rebounds with nine.

Darris Smith is the team's lone returning starter and has started off the season very well. In four games, he has averaged over 35 minutes a game and has just two turnovers compared to 14 assists. His best game came in a loss to Minnesota State. He played all 40 minutes with no turnovers and four assists.
• Lions have scored almost the same number of points in the first half and the second half. Lindenwood has scored 140 points in the opening half and has closed the game with 139 points scored.
• Freshman
Marcus Hinton has made an early impact in his career. Hinton is averaging four points a game to go along with three rebounds as a freshman.
• Going back to last season the Lions have compiled a 5-0 record in non-conference home games. Lindenwood has gone 3-1 in GLVC games.
• Dating back to last season the Lions have won their last four games at Hyland Arena.
• In 2012-13, the Lions did not play a nationally ranked team. But already in 2013-14 Lindenwood has played two top-five teams.
• Through four games this season the Lions have run into some hot-shooting teams. Opponents are shooting at a 48 percent clip from the field and are 43 percent from behind the three-point line.
• Over the past two seasons, the Lions have gone 8-4 against non-conference opponents.
• Unlike last year's team which had six seniors this season's squad has just one.
Tyler Ressel is the only senior on the roster.
• The Hyland Arena floor has been very good to the Lions since
Brad Soderberg took over. In his first five seasons, Lindenwood is 51-8 at home. Â
• The loss in the season-opener was only the second time in the last seven years the team lost its first game.
Quincy Notes
• The Quincy Hawks enter tonight's game with a record of 1-2 and have a record of 0-1 in away games. The Hawks dropped their first two games of the season but won their last game against Robert Morris of Springfield.
• As a team the Hawks averaging 70 points a game and surrender 69 points. Westminster has shot 44 percent from the field and 28 percent from behind the arc. Quincy is also shooting 77 percent from the free-throw line. The Hawks also outrebound their opponents on an average of 35-31. Â
• Chris Babbitt is the Hawks top player. He leads the team in points with 15.3 and in rebounds with an average of 6.3. Schott Hahn is second on the team in scoring with an average of 12.7.
• Marty Bell is the head coach of the Hawks. Bell has been the head coach at Quincy for 11 seasons and has compiled a record of 173-119.
