Box Score The Lindenwood men's basketball team's losing streak continued on Sunday afternoon when the Lions lost 82-64 to the Washburn Ichabods in Topeka, Kan.
From the very opening minute the contest was all Washburn. The Ichabods led for all but 1:48 of the game and rolled to 10-1 on the season.
Washburn led by 19 when the game headed into the locker room and pushed the lead up to as many as 25 in the second half.
Darris Smith led the way in scoring for the second straight game. He scored 19 points on seven-of-10 shooting and also dished out three assists.
Michael Boos was second on the team in scoring with 15 points while
Tyler Ressel chipped in with 10.
Lindenwood shot 42 percent from the field and 33 from behind the three-point line. Washburn dominated the glass outrebounding the Lions 4-25 including a 14-5 advantage on the offensive glass.
The loss was the third straight for Lindenwood and its third straight conference defeat. The Lions record drops to 6-8 overall and 1-3 in MIAA play. Lindenwood will be off for the holidays and will be back in action on Janb. 4
th at home against Pittsburg State.Â
