Men's Volleyball Falls To No. 1 Team In NCAA Division I

Box Score The Lindenwood men's volleyball team held No. 1 Loyola Chicago to one of its lowest hitting percentages of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Ramblers won by scores of 25-22, 25-19, and 25-23.
 
The Lions' defense kept Loyola Chicago to just a .242 hitting mark, but Lindenwood also hit below its season average with a .244 attack percentage. Lindenwood had six more blocks in the match, but the Ramblers recorded 13 more digs. Serving also played a big role as the Lions had just three service aces and 15 service errors, while Loyola Chicago had six service aces and only six service errors.
 
Scott Siwicki was Lindenwood's top player with 10 kills and no errors in 12 attempts. He also led the team with six blocks and had one of the team's three service aces. Tim Schmidt finished with 29 assists and David Poole had eight digs.
 
Lindenwood falls to 19-8 on the year and 4-7 in MIVA play. The Lions will travel to No. 11 Lewis on Saturday.
