On Monday, Lindenwood men's volleyball student-athletes A.J. Lewis, Ian Schuller, and Connor Sheehan were named honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) after one of the best years in program history. This marks the first time in program history in which a student-athlete from the men's volleyball program has earned this honor.

Lewis finished off his decorated Lindenwood career being a three-time all-MIVA selection, including second team honors this season. Lewis ranks eighth in the country in aces per set at 0.48. That number is good for second in the MIVA. The Shorewood, Ill. native compiled a career-high 309 kills this past season and concluded his collegiate career with 1,161. The productive outside hitter compiled 3.12 kills per set during his time in a Lindenwood uniform.

Schuller was also a member of the second team all-conference for the second time in as many seasons. The Downers Grove, Ill. native earned Defensive Player of the Week honors one time during the year and his 183 digs led the team. Schuller, a sophomore opposite compiled 319 kills during the season, second most on the team.

Sheehan was one of the most effective setters in the country this past season, topping the nation in assists per set at 11.14. He had five matches with over 50 assists, including 63 against Ball State on February 10, a number that tied the program record for most in a single game. The O'Fallon, Ill. native earned second team all-conference honors this past season. He was an all-conference honoree for the first time in his career.

In 2024, Lindenwood earned a spot in the AVCA Poll for the first time in program history. The Lions finished the year ranked No. 16 while closing the campaign with 16 wins, their most since 2014. The black and gold made it all the way to the MIVA Championship game.
