Men's Basketball Continues Homestand On Tuesday Evening

Tuesday's Game At A Glance
- The Lindenwood men's basketball team continues a three-game homestand this Tuesday with a 7 p.m. non-conference game against Beloit.

- Lindenwood started the homestand with an 86-61 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange before the Thanksgiving break. That victory moved the team to 4-1 on the season.

- Beloit, a NCAA Division III program, comes to Missouri with a 1-2 overall record. The Buccaneers started conference play last weekend with an 84-72 setback at home versus Lake Forest.

- Lindenwood and Beloit will be meeting for the first time in the sport of men's basketball. The Lions will be facing their first NCAA Division III opponent since defeating Greenville in 2014-15 by a 106-63 margin.

- Lindenwood and Beloit have a connection in Lions head coach Lance Randall. Randall graduated from Beloit in 1994, and was a star player on the Buccaneers basketball team. Randall earned the team's Johnny Orr Leadership Award in 1992-93, and was the team MVP in 1993-94. He was a two-time second-team all-conference performer, and a two-time team captain. Randall still ranks third in Beloit history with 175 three-pointers in his career.

Lindenwood Notes
- Lindenwood ranks fourth in NCAA Division II by turning the ball over just 8.4 times a game. The low turnover number is also helping the Lions rank 10th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio, and 25th in turnover margin.

- Lindenwood recorded 13 steals against Hannibal-LaGrange, which tied for the ninth-most in program history for a game. The 13 steals were the most for Lindenwood since a 2013 contest against Robert Morris-Springfield.

- The Lions are heating up in their shooting from the field. Over the last two games, Lindenwood is shooting 49.6 percent from the field, including 40 percent from three-point range.

- Lindenwood has won or tied the rebounding battle in four straight games. The Lions have a +2.8 rebounding margin in that span.

- Lindenwood has taken more free throws than its opponents in each game this season. The Lions are averaging 19.8 free throws a game, compared to 11.0 for their opposition.

- Chandler Diekvoss is ranked in the top-10 in the MIAA in points and rebounds. He is averaging 17.8 points and 8.0 rebounds a game. Diekvoss is also in the top-10 in field-goal percentage (.571).

- Brad Newman has scored double-figure points in every game this season. Over the last three games, he is averaging 16.3 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals a game, and he is shooting 50 percent from the field in that span.

- TJ Crockett had his best game as a Lion against Hannibal-LaGrange with 17 points. He made four three-pointers, and connected on both of his shots inside the arc. In his first five collegiate games, Crockett has two double-figure scoring games, and has scored at least six points in every contest.

- Dominique Dobbs ranks second in the MIAA in blocks (1.60), and is seventh in rebounding margin (7.0).

- Adam Pohlman leads the MIAA in assist-to-turnover margin with a 3.8 mark. That also ranks 26th in the nation. Pohlman also ranks ninth in assists and fourth in steals.

- Drew Moore is averaging 15.8 minutes a game in the low post. In that span, he is averaging 3.4 rebounds a game. Eight of his 17 rebounds have come on the offensive boards.

- Lindenwood has its final tuneup before the start of MIAA play this Saturday afternoon. The Lions will host Eccelsia at 2 p.m. in Hyland Arena.
