Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team will travel to Maryville, Mo. on Saturday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. contest against No. 2 Northwest Missouri from Bearcat Arena.
• Since Lindenwood joined the MIAA prior to the start of the 2012-13 season, Northwest Missouri owns an 11-1 advantage in the series history. The Bearcats have a 14-1 advantage in the all-time series dating back to 1984-85.
• The Lions have never won at Bearcat Arena, but lost to Northwest Missouri by just two points on Feb. 6, 2016 from Maryville, Mo.
• Lindenwood has won five of its last six games entering its matchup with Northwest Missouri. Most recently, the Lions picked up a 75-58 road win at Missouri Western on Thursday evening.
• Thursday's victory for Lindenwood was its fourth-consecutive win in an MIAA opener since the 2015-16 season.Â
• Since joining the conference, the Lions are 5-2 in MIAA openers.

Brad Newman reached the 30-point plateau for the second time in his Lindenwood career and for the first time this season on Dec. 6 at Missouri Western.
• Newman ended the game with exactly 30 points (9-of-19 FG), and has now led the team in scoring seven times through its first 11 games to begin the season.
• Newman ranks 11th in the MIAA scoring at 17.8 points per game. The senior guard is just 57 points away from becoming the 13th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
• Newman knocked down all 10 of his free-throw attempts at Missouri Western, elevating his free-throw percentage to 80.5 percent for the season.

Chandler Diekvoss scored 18 points (8-of-14 FG) at Missouri Western, his seventh game this season with at least 10 points, and his fourth in the last five games.
• Diekvoss secured six rebounds in the game, and is tied with
Diego Womack for the team-lead in rebounds per game for the season at 6.4 rpg.
• Womack pulled down seven boards in the win at Missouri Western, the second-highest total for the game.Â

Luka Radosevic collected a team-leading and career-high nine boards, raising his season average to 3.1 rpg.
• Womack appeared in the starting lineup for the seventh straight game on Dec. 6 at Missouri Western, recording his sixth double-digit performance in his last eight games in the process.
• Womack finished the game with 10 points (5-of-7 FG) and raised his team-leading field-goal percentage to .609 for the season.

Adam Pohlman led Lindenwood in assists (5) and steals (4) at Missouri Western. Pohlman currently leads the team in assists per game (5.5) and steals per game (1.6).
• Pohlman is currently seventh in NCAA Division II and leads the MIAA with a 4.06 assist-to-turnover ratio.
• Lindenwood controlled the glass in its win over Missouri Western, outrebounding its opponent for the sixth time this season.Â
• The Lions have won the rebounding battle in five of their last six games, and are 5-1 during that stretch.
• Lindenwood held Missouri Western to just 58 points on Thursday evening, the second time this season it has held an opponent to under 60 points.

• Northwest Missouri enters Saturday's matchup with a perfect 9-0 record, and a 1-0 mark from within the MIAA.
• The Bearcats are ranked as the No. 2 team in NCAA Division II according to the NABC Poll.
• Northwest Missouri was tabbed as the favorite in the 2018-19 MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll, released in October.
• The Bearcats finished the 2017-18 season with a 27-4 record, and advanced to the NCAA Division II National Tournament for the fifth consecutive season.
• In its most recent game on Thursday evening, Northwest Missouri defeated Lincoln, 85-78, from Bearcat Arena. Trevor Hudgins led the team with 22 points.
• Northwest Missouri boasts three scorers averaging at least double-digit points through its first nine games this season. Hudgins leads the Bearcats with an average of 20.8 ppg, followed by Joey Witthus (19.6 ppg) and Ryan Hawkins (16.0 ppg).
• Hawkins has paced Northwest Missouri in rebounding, averaging 10.9 boards per game.
