Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team will play its first road game in over a month on Thursday evening in Bolivar, Mo. The Lions will face the Southwest Baptist Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. from John Q. Hammons Court.

• In its most recent game on Jan. 12, Lindenwood dropped a triple-overtime decision, 96-87, to Lincoln from inside Hyland Arena. The contest was Lindenwood's first triple-overtime game of its NCAA era, dating back to the start of the 2012-13 season.

• Of Lindenwood's eight losses this season, six of those decisions have been by single-digit points. The Lions have lost back-to-back games by identical nine-point margins, and have three straight single-digit losses.

• Lindenwood and Southwest Baptist have met 10 times since the start of the 2011-12 season. Lindenwood leads the all-time series, 6-4. The Lions have won four of the last five matchups in the series, including each of the last three games played in Bolivar, Mo.

• The Lions and Bearcats will matchup once more during the 2018-19 season. Lindenwood is set to host Southwest Baptist on March 2 at 3:30 p.m. in its regular-season finale from Hyland Arena.

Lindenwood Notes
• Chandler Diekvoss set a new single-game career-high with a 38-point performance in Lindenwood's triple-overtime loss to Lincoln on Jan. 12. Diekvoss surpassed his previous career-high of 30 points, and exceeded the 20-point mark for the fifth consecutive game.

• Diekvoss accounted for 14 of Lindenwood's 19 total points during the three overtime periods on Jan. 12. Diekvoss also registered his fourth double-double of the season, and third in the last five games, as he pulled down a team-leading 10 rebounds.

• During Lindenwood's five MIAA contests this season, Diekvoss is averaging 22.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Diekvoss ranks third in the MIAA in scoring and seventh in rebounding during conference games this season.

• Brad Newman finished the game against Lincoln with 26 points (9-of-21 FG), his seventh game this season with at least 20 points. Newman leads Lindenwood and is tied for eighth in the MIAA in scoring with 18.4 points per game.

• Of Newman's 26 points, 15 of those came during the second half, nine of which were scored in the final 2:18 of regulation, to bring Lindenwood back from seven-point defecit.

• Diego Womack was Lindenwood's other scorer to reach double-digits against Lincoln, as he finished the afternoon with 12 points (5-of-9 FG). The 12-point performance was Womack's third double-digit scoring effort in the last five games.

• Adam Pohlman scored just one point in the game against Lincoln, but did manage to secure nine rebounds and dish out four assists.

• Pohlman is averaging 5.0 assists per game this season, the fifth best total in the MIAA. Pohlman ranks second in the MIAA and third in all of NCAA Division II in assist-to-turnover ratio with a mark of 3.92.

• Diekvoss, Newman, and Pohlman all played significant minutes in Lindenwood's triple-overtime game, as each player set a new single-game career-high in the category. Diekvoss and Newman each totaled 50 minutes apiece, while Pohlman logged 46 minutes.

• Lindenwood lost the rebounding battle to Lincoln on Jan. 12, as the Blue Tigers grabbed 52 total rebounds to just 37 for the Lions. It was the fifth time this season that Lindenwood had less rebounds than its opponent, and the team is 0-5 during those games.

• Lindenwood's loss on Jan. 12 pushed the team's record to 1-6 during Saturday games this season. The Lions have an 8-2 record on all other days, including a 2-0 mark in Thursday games. Lindenwood has three wins this season on Friday, its most on any day of the week.

• In Lindenwood's nine victories this season, the team is averaging 83.6 points per game, and is outscoring the opponents by an average of 19.0 points. The Lions have averaged exactly 10 points per game less in their eight losses this season, averaging 73.6 points per game in those contests.

Scouting the Competition
• Southwest Baptist enters Saturday's matchup with a record of 8-7, including a 2-4 mark from within the MIAA.

• The Bearcats currently sit in 10th place in the conference standings, and are just 0.5 games behind Lindenwood in seventh place.

• Southwest Baptist was picked 13th in the MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll, after finishing the 2017-18 season with a 12-17 record.

• The Bearcats have lost three straight decisions, all from within the MIAA. In its most recent game on Jan. 12, Southwest Baptist was handed a 73-68 loss by Missouri Southern in Joplin, Mo.

• Southwest Baptist has four scorers averaging double-digit points this season, and are led by Chris Rossow's total of 13.2 points per game.

• Damian Prgomet is averaging 12.7 points per game, and leads the team in field goal percentage at 61.1 percent.

• The Bearcats have the fourth best scoring defense in the MIAA, allowing just 71.6 points per game to their opponents.
