Things to Know
• The Lindenwood men's basketball team returns to action after its holiday break with a two-game GLVC homestand beginning on Thursday, January 2.
• The Lions will open the New Year versus the Missouri S&T Miners on January 2 at 7:30 from inside Hyland Arena. Two days later, Lindenwood will welcome crosstown foe, Maryville to St. Charles for a 3:00 p.m. clash.
• Lindenwood concluded the 2019 calendar year with three consecutive wins, all of which came on its home court. On the season, the Lions own a 4-1 record when playing at home.
• Over its last four games, Lindenwood is averaging 97.8 points per game. The Lions scored at least 96 points in each of the four games, and currently lead the GLVC in points per game (89.3 ppg).
• Lindenwood and Missouri S&T have met 11 times during the all-time series dating back to the 1980-81 season. The Miners have won 10 of the 11 meetings, including a double-overtime victory the last time the two teams faced off on Dec. 16, 2013.
Lindenwood Notes
• Through Lindenwood's first nine games of the 2019-20 season,
TJ Crockett (26.0 ppg) has been the catalyst for the top scoring offense in the GLVC.
• Crockett has scored at least 20 points in every game this season, and his 26.0 points per game lead the GLVC and rank sixth in NCAA Division II. Crockett totaled a single-game career-high 41 points at #22 Florida Southern on Dec. 7.
• Crockett has connected on 51.0 percent of his field goal attempts (78-of-153) to pace the high-powered Lindenwood offense. Crockett has also been effective at the charity stripe, knocking down 62-of-67 free-throw attempts (92.5 percent), second in the GLVC and 10th in NCAA Division II.

Vijay Blackmon has also found his scoring touch for the Lions as of late. Blackmon has surpassed the 20-point mark in each of the last five games, and has reached double-digit scoring totals in eight of his nine games this season.
• Blackmon ranks second on the team and eighth in the conference in scoring at 18.3 points per game. Over his last five games, Blackmon is averaging 22.2 points per game and is shooting 53.2 percent from the field.
• Since Lindenwood's game at Florida Southern on Dec. 7, Blackmon has been on fire from three-point range. Blackmon has hit on 13-of-25 from behind the arc (52.0 percent), including at least four makes in each of the last two games for the Lions.
• Joining Blackmon as a threat from long-range is
Cameron Scales. Scales is averaging 11.6 points per game this season, coming off of the bench in each game for the Lions.
• Scales is tied with Blackmon for the team-lead with 23 makes from three-point range this season, reaching the mark on two fewer attempts than his counterpart.
• On Nov. 20 against then-ranked No. 3 Bellarmine, Scales drained a career-high six three pointers on just nine attempts. Scales has made at least one three-point field-goal in every game this season.

Anthony Christian leads the Lions on the glass through nine games this season, securing an average of 5.2 rebounds per game.
• Over his last four games, Christian is averaging 7.5 rebounds per game, collecting exactly eight rebounds on three different occasions during that stretch.

Sukhman Bhinder has started all nine games for the Lions in 2019-20 and is averaging a team-high 4.0 assists per game during that time. Bhinder ranks eighth in the GLVC in assists per game, while his 4.50 assist-to-turnover ratio is good for sixth in NCAA Division II.
• Lindenwood has used the same starting five in all nine games to begin the season, consisting of Bhinder, Blackmon, Christian, Crockett, and
Kamau Kinder.
Scouting the Competition
• Missouri S&T arrives in St. Charles with a 3-4 record, including a 1-0 mark from within the GLVC.
• The Miners were selected 16th in the 2019-20 GLVC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll after concluding the 2018-19 season with a 5-21 record.
• Missouri S&T will head into Thursday evening's matchup riding a current two-game winning streak. The Miners took down Maryville in its first GLVC game of the season back on Dec. 3, before concluding the 2019 portion of its schedule with a 76-75 win at Northeastern State on Dec. 17.
• Dulan Scott is the leading scorer through the first seven games of the season for the Miners, averaging 14.4 points per game.
• Chima Oduocha has been a force down low for Missouri S&T, grabbing 7.3 rebounds per game, the seventh best mark in the GLVC.
• As a team, the Miners are averaging just 69.0 points per game, the third-lowest total inside the conference.
